Tumwater Falls Trail
I'll be honest, this trail really isn't a hike. Its more like a nice walk. The path is loose gravel but nice and wide as well as stroller friendly. Tumwater Falls is just 0.8 of a mile but it is so beautiful, it's absolutely worth going!

Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is located in Olympia just twenty minutes from JBLM! It's got tons of walking trails, places to picnic, and makes a nice day outside if you need somewhere stroller friendly.

Hiking Paradise, Mount Rainier
The Paradise area of Mount Rainier is easily the most popular area in the National Park. Its got multiple hikes to choose from and lots are easily doable with kids or older family members. Hiking to Devil’s Punchbowl at Lake Crescent
Washington has some of the most beautiful bodies of water I've ever seen, and that's coming from a Florida girl. Lake Crescent has gorgeous blue water that you can actually see through and I'm going to fill you in on this amazing swim spot!

Hiking Naches Peak Loop, Mount Rainier
Naches Peak Loop is my favorite Hike since we've lived here (so far)! This hike is about three miles long round trip. There is about 600 feet of elevation gains. If you take it slow I think the younger kiddos will be fine, Aurora did the whole thing without asking to be carried!

Mount St. Helens
Mount St. Helens is a great half day to full day adventure and just two hours from Joint Base Lewis-McChord. You may even get lucky and spot Big Foot on your trip! There are tons of different hikes and places to explore inside the Monument. Here are some spots we checked out on our trip!
