About Me

Hey Yall, I’m Olivia Michelle! My husband Travis and I have been married twelve years, and I have been an Air Force Spouse for eleven years. We are on our fifth duty station, currently stationed at Royal Air Force Mildenhall in the United Kingdom. This move was literally a dream come true for us, but also the hardest PCS move we have ever had. Previously we have been stationed at Cannon AFB, Hurlburt AFB, Keesler AFB, and Joint Base Lewis McChord. Both my husband and I are Florida natives, and I honestly never thought I would live anywhere else. I’m so glad I was wrong!

I always loved going on vacations as a kid but I really fell in love with traveling as we started moving around the country. We got to see and experience things we had never done before, and I loved sharing these with others.

When we lived in New Mexico we were stationed at Cannon Air Force Base. I did my college internship at the Airman & Family Readiness Center and that’s where I saw some negative effects of military life. Cannon has a high suicide rate because the location of the base is so isolated. This is where I started my blog, in 2019, right before we moved to JBLM. I started it to help people find activities, events, and things to do around the area.

As we continued to move around it literally dumbfounded me that every base we went to had posts in the spouse groups like “I hate it here” or “There is nothing to do here”. So I have continued to write posts about our travels and share them with our local spouse groups, as well as on my website and social media sites.

Speaking of my website, I’m sure you can tell one big difference between my website and 99% of other blogger’s websites…..I have no ads! I literally hate having to exit out of 10 pop up ads when I am trying to read a blog post or recipe. I also dislike the way it clutters up the look of the website. With this being said, it is a loss of potential income for me. If you love my posts and they’ve helped you plan a trip or inspired you to get out and explore, consider helping me promote my website and social media!
