Hiking: Washington & Oregon

Little Si Trail

Little Si is one of the prettiest hikes in Washington and it is a moderate 4.5 mile out and back trail that is dog friendly. Located in North Bend and suitable for kids a bit older by themselves (our 7 year old did it).

This is a heavily trafficked trail so I highly suggest arriving early. We arrived around 8:45 am and got one of the last parking spots in the overflow lot. By the time we left there were cars lined up waiting to get a spot (no street parking). You will need a Discover Pass, which is $30/year or $10 for a day pass. There is a machine to purchase a pass in the parking lot but you can also buy them online prior to your trip.

For directions to the trailhead and using a map during our hike, I use the All Trails App. This is the best app for hiking and I highly recommend!

There is a restroom and trash cans at the trailhead by the main parking lot but not any along the trail, plan accordingly.

The trail is pretty rocky so I recommend shoes with good ankle support.

There is good signage on the trail to keep you on the right path.

There are actually quite a few rock faces on the mountain that have rock climbing trail. Not something I am brave enough to do but there were quite a few climbers and we enjoyed watching them.

The view from the top is breathtaking. There are a few different viewpoints at the top, take the time to look at all of them!
