Hiking Naches Peak Loop, Mount Rainier
Naches Peak Loop is my favorite Hike since we've lived here (so far)! This hike is about three miles long round trip. There is about 600 feet of elevation gains. If you take it slow I think the younger kiddos will be fine, Aurora did the whole thing without asking to be carried!

What to Eat at Taste of Tacoma
Taste of Tacoma is a three day event usually held in June each year at Point Defiance Park. It's got live music, activities, vendors, and of course food. You can also enjoy beer gardens and wine tastings.! By no means did we even scratch the surface of the food options but here were some of our favorites.

Farmer’s Markets near Joint Base Lewis-McChord
It's unbelievable how many Farmers Markets there are in our area. We are so spoiled to have such good options for fresh produce! We have quite a few to choose from so I'm going to give you the down low on each of them

Hiking the Grand Canyon South Rim
"We must take adventures to discover where we truly belong". I have never seen something nature made that is as beautiful as the Grand Canyon. Out of all the places I've traveled, there isn't anything else even comparable to the ambiance and uniqueness of it.

Springtime Cruise on South Lake Tahoe
I'm not sure I would consider Spring a season in South Lake Tahoe. I think it should be called second winter because dang it was freezing. I'm talking beginning of April when flowers are suppose to be blooming and it was in the thirties. I guess that's why they have a ski resort.

What to do in Lubbock, Texas
You have probably heard of Lubbock because it is home to Texas Tech University. If you're driving cross country on I-10 you will pass through this city in the middle of nowhere. I've got a few must-do's for the area to fill you in on, besides the obvious of what I do (shopping).

What to Know about Cannon Air Force Base
Let me tell you about this place called Cannon. When you find out you have orders here you either cry or jump for joy, there is no in between. You'll post on the Cannon spouse page and ask if it's really as bad as everyone says.

Hidden Gems in Clovis, New Mexico
You'll never end up in Clovis, New Mexico on vacation. If you are in Clovis, it's because you live here. It's not a stop on the way to a vacation spot and it's not anywhere you would actually want to visit. So if you're reading this, I know you're a resident. Don't fret, I've got the low down on the hidden gems that will make you feel good about your time in Clovis whether it's for a year or two or twelve. These aren't in any particular order, just make sure you check them all out during your time in the land of "entrapment".

Surviving Cannon Air Force Base one Coffee Shop at a time
Coffee is life, and I'm filling you in on the local coffee shops to keep your sanity during your time at Cannon. While Clovis lacks options for shopping, it actually has an abundance of coffee shops. Our squadron wives meet every Wednesday morning for coffee and we alternate shops so I have been to all of these!
