Coupeville, Whidbey Island
Coupeville is one of the two waterfront towns on Whidbey Island. Coupeville is historic and has a gorgeous pier that extends out on the water. Here are some things to do and see when you visit Coupeville.

Coupeville is located on Penn Cove. We were able to park in the free parking lot by the library. There is also free street parking available.
Island County Historical Museum wasn’t open the day we visited, but it looked like a cool stop.
The pier and waterfront are gorgeous in Coupeville. There is a restaurant, coffee shop, small exhibit, and gift shop inside the building at the end of the dock. If you exit to the back of the building you’ll find a whale watch bell. Ring it if you see any whales.
We walked out onto the dock where the boats are tied up to check them out. The Schooner Suva was docked and we got a FREE inside tour of it. You can book sailing trips on it and read more info HERE.
Downtown Coupeville is filled with cute shops and restaurants. There is a map right at the beginning of the pier and a virtual Historic Walking Tour you can download on your phone.
A few of my favorite shops were:
Collection’s Boutique
Aqua Gifts
Madrona Blossom
Brigg’s Shore Ceramics
Marbley
