Fort CAsey State Park whidbey Island Washington

See the Lighthouse at Fort Casey State Park
I am a sucker for lighthouses and the one at Fort Casey is by far the prettiest I’ve seen! Newly refurbished, it gleams as though it is brand new. Fort Casey is on the coast and offers hiking trails as well as gorgeous views of the island, ocean, and the coast of the Washington mainland.

Grab a slice of pie at Greenbank Farm
Greenbank farm has a winery, cheese shop, pie shop, gardens, and trails. The trails and grounds are dog friendly (you just cant bring them inside the food shops). Free to enter and explore, this makes a great pit stop during your travels. Be warned though, the pie sells out hours before closing time. If you want pie, get there early!

Find the Bunnies in Langley
Langley is my favorite town on Whidbey Island. Its full of shops and restaurants, and the cutest little bunnies. See how many bunnies you can spot, or even bring some lettuce and carrots to feed them.

ebeys landing whidbey island

Take in the view at Ebbey’s Landing
Ebbey’s Landing is a National Historic Preserve. There is a farmland overview and then just a short walk away is the Ranger station and trails. No pass is needed, and the park is dog friendly. We walked the short 0.5 miles down to the original house from settlers on the island. There are multiple trails at the reserve and a beach.

Coupeville is the town on the water in Penn Cove. It offers stunning waterfront views. Walk on the long pier to see sailboats coming in and views of the rest of the island. There is also a museum and some shops and restaurants here.

coachman inn whidbey island

Take a dip in Coachman Inn‘s 82 degree heated pool
Yes, you have to be staying at the hotel to use the pool and hot tubs, but this hotel is great! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay during your trip to Whidbey Island, Coachman Inn is great. They have not one, but two hot tubs and they are divine to soak in.

seabolts smokehouse oak harbor

Eat some Seafood at Seabolt’s Smokehouse
This place is a serious hole in the wall. There are only about four tables for dine inn so plan on getting it to-go if there isn’t any seating available. This is the best seafood I’ve had in Washington. I always crave a good fried clams or fried shrimp (like they have in FL where I’m from) and the only thing I usually ever find in the PNW is prawns and salmon. They’ve got some delicious fried seafood.
