If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience, I highly recommend checking out the Leavenworth Reindeer Farm! You will learn about reindeer, and have the opportunity to feed, pet, and photograph them! We had so much fun and can’t wait to go back.

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm
We have visited the reindeer farm every trip to Leavenworth, it is our favorite thing to do! The farm is open year round so you can visit anytime of year. Timed tickets are required and make sure to reserve yours early. Dates do tend to sell out quickly. You will get to feed, interact, and take photos with the reindeer. In the winter you can also see Santa, or Anna and Elsa from Frozen on select dates.

While you wait for your tour to begin: the kids can feed the chickens, you can shop in the store, or they can play on the playground.

The first fifteen minutes you’ll get a short presentation on reindeer and the family that owns the farm. You will learn the difference between reindeer and caribou and get to see/touch antlers.

Next up is the fun part! Meeting and feeding the reindeer. Each person will get a branch and a food cup.

They are so stinkin’ cute! They’ll come right up and gnaw on those branches.

If I remember correctly, this is Moonshine. He loved posing for photos and was really curious in my smells.

When we visited in June there were still some relatively smaller babies around! They were just starting to grow their antlers.

We had so much fun and will absolutely be back next time we visit Leavenworth. Winter is peak season when the farm is snow covered and the reindeer have their fluffy winter coats. I also heard Santa visits in December.
