Visiting Kensington Palace
Kensington Palace is a must see during your visit to London. It is the current home of Prince William and Princess Kate, as well as the previous home of Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. Here is some info on what to expect when you visit and current exhibitions.

Kensington Palace
Tickets 12-28 Pounds
Plan for 2 Hours
I will start by saying I was disappointed we couldn’t see more of the actual Palace. I attribute that to the fact that Prince William and Princess Kate actually live here. There are several exhibits to see and the Palace itself is beautiful. You can also enjoy the gardens outside during your visit. Tickets range from 12 pounds per child to 28 pounds per adult. Because of the popularity of Kensington Palace, book your timed entry tickets in advance online. You do not want to show up the day of and be turned away because tickets are all sold out.

If you plan to visit both Kensington Palace and the Tower of London then I highly suggest buying a Historic Royal Places membership. This will save you money if you have a family of four or less people. Membership includes FREE admission to the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, and Hillsborough Castle. We did the Family 2 Membership which is valid for two adults and up to six children for 120 pounds. This was cheaper than admission to two of these places for the three of us. Memberships can also be applied after you have purchased tickets to one of these places on the same day you visit. You receive 10% off at all shops and restraints at these places as well.

When you visit Kensington Palace they do have a one way path through the exhibits. he first exhibit you will see is the “Crown to Couture” exhibit. This exhibit features some historic fashions and clothing from Royalty as well as tons of clothing worn by celebrities to the Met Gala.
My favorite dress was seeing Blake Lively’s reversible dress modeled after the Statue of Liberty. I do wish they had more clothing worn by Royalty than the Met Gala outfits.
My favorite exhibit was about Queen Victoria. You will get to see and walk through the state rooms where she grew up and the room where she was born. There are also some Crown Jewels that belonged to Royals in this exhibit.
After our walk through the exhibits in Kensington Palace we headed over to The Pavilion, located on the other side of the Sunken Gardens. It was pretty busy on the day we visited so I would highly suggest making reservations.
I made reservations for Afternoon Tea ahead of time on their website HERE.
I loved tea here, it was a tranquil location and the food was fabulous. The adult tea was “Crown to Couture” themed and there is an option for a children’s tea.
