Point Defiance Park
5400 N Pearl Street
Tacoma, WA 98407

Point Defiance Park has plenty of parking. There are multiple parking lots and street parking available.

There are lots of walking trails around the park, plenty of green space, benches, gardens, tennis courts, restrooms, and more. Dogs on a leash are welcome!

The garden area is gated in to keep out the animals. Most of them weren’t blooming yet since we visited early spring but the roses are gorgeous in the summer.

Visitor’s Center

This gorgeous pagoda has restrooms and a pretty Japanese garden and pond. I love how the entire atmosphere changes when you get to this side of the park. it reminded me of Buchart Gardens.

There are also tennis courts available.

You can find a boardwalk that overlooks the marina and ferry dock. You also have a gorgeous view of the sound.

If you’d like to walk down to the marina and check out the water you can take the stairs, or the slides! They recently put in these slides so you can slide all the way down.
