Zoo Lights at Point Defiance Zoo

Zoo Lights is a must do every holiday season at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. With over 700,000 lights, this event is the best bang for your buck starting at $11 for tickets. Read about what to expect below.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Zoo Lights Display. They really went all out with the amount of lights. Tickets are required and are available to pre-purchase on their website. Tickets will NOT be sold at the entrance. Buy your tickets early, they do sell out!

Don’t expect to see any Zoo animals. Most are sleeping at night and animal exhibits are not lit. There are plenty of Christmas Light animals to see though.

We loved the Christmas Lights featuring local spots, like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

The Zoo Cafe is located at the entrance and they do have snacks and drinks available such as hot cocoa, water, coffee, candy, popcorn, and lite snacks.
