A Day at Chamber’s Bay

Chamber’s Bay may sound familiar because of it’s world renowned golf course. There are many more gorgeous sights than just the golf course though, and plenty of fun activities. Here is some info to know and what to expect when you spend a day (or afternoon) at Chamber’s Bay Park.

The parking lot isn’t huge but there is also street parking available. The main parking lot is by the playground. The trail starts paved here and is stroller friendly. It is very hilly on this part. The trail stays in view of the golf course almost the entire time. Also, this trail is dog friendly! They’ve got trash cans and dog bag dispensers along the trail.

The first part of the walk is through some lush woods.

The trail will actually start to weave through the golf course. You’ll notice signs that say not to go beyond that point and signs to watch for stray golf balls.

There are some ruins of an old factory that make for really cool photos on the opposite side of the golf course. There is also a huge open space here that you can spread out to play.

Past the large green space there is a bridge that will lead you over the train tracks and to the beach.

Lots of people have put up locks on the bridge. So if that’s your thing, bring one along to add!

The beach is beautiful, just keep in mind it is very rocky! We were able to find clams and crabs. There are some large driftwood logs to sit on.
