What to expect at Bark in the Park: Seattle Mariners

Here is your chance to take your pooch to a sporting event, Bark in the Park is held approximately three times per season and is a really fun event! Here are all the details on price, parking, and what to expect.

I forgot how much fun professional baseball games were. I grew up an MLB fan but hadn’t been to a game in years. The Detroit Tigers do spring training in my hometown so I grew up watching them play. T-Mobile Park is gorgeous! They have done really well with up keep and marketing.

So parking…parking is going to run you $20-$30. The public parking areas closest to the stadium charge more for parking during games. If you are military I highly suggest parking at the Seattle Coast Guard Base. It is free and is across the street from the stadium!

Tickets for Bark at the Park must be purchased ahead of time and are available online only. Tickets are $25 each and your dog needs a ticket too! The seating is a reserved area from sections 339-345. This is where everyone and their dogs will be, and since your dog has their own ticket they also have their own seat.

We attended a game in July. You’ll need to check in and enter at the left field gate. Online it says you have to show proof of rabies vaccine at entry. We had it with us however they did not ask to see it. They have a pet relief grassy area and water bowls for the dogs here at the gate. We received a free light up Mariners collar for Muffin after entering.

At the top of the ramp by the seating area there is another area for dogs to go potty and drink water.

They’ve also got some pools so the dogs can play in the water! Dogs are not allowed in any other area of the stadium so you’ll have to stay in the area where your seating is and behind it.

There are are still plenty of food options for the sectioned off area!

There is also a small shop stand set up with Mariners gear as well as all of the dog items available!

T-Mobile Park has free wifi!

I thought I would hate our seats being so high up but they actually weren’t bad at all! Maybe the players looked tiny but you could see the entire field and where every ball went!

Everyone was having as much fun as we were with the dogs. Even though it’s called Bark at the Park there actually wasn’t too much barking. All of the dogs seemed to get along. Keep in mind that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

We had lots of fun and Muffin enjoyed himself sniffing and lounging. The game went until about 10 pm (7:10 Start Time).

As soon as the game is over all of the dogs and their owners are invited to walk the bases on the field! You’ll line up at section 339 and you’ll be let on the field after the players leave and it’s been cleared. You can’t just run around, it’s a sectioned off area to walk on because they don’t want the dogs on the grass. It was a fun and once in a lifetime opportunity!
