Seattle Chocolate Factory Tour
We recently visited Seattle Chocolates in Tukwila and did a Factory tour! It was a ton of fun to learn about the chocolate making process, how it grows, and get to sample all the different kinds. Here was our experience and what to expect on the tour.
First things first, you can visit the factory anytime to shop in the retail store! Seattle Chocolates are carried in stores all over Seattle and Tacoma but you can shop the entire collection right here at the factory.
Store Hours:
Monday – Friday: 10 am to 6 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
Seattle Chocolate has two lines of Chocolate, J-Coco and Seattle Chocolate. J-Coco is the culinary chocolate line that has unique wine pairings in the store and of course, samples.
My personal favorite are the Seattle Chocolate truffles! They have over 20 flavors. You need to try the Pink Bubbly!
The factory store also has some really cute selfie walls (which I’m ALWAYS about)!
If you are needing some souvenir gifts for family, they have some really cute Seattle themed gifts filled with chocolate!
Seattle Chocolates offers multiple events each month and factory tours daily. The factory is only in production Monday through Thursday so I suggest taking a tour during the week so you can actually see them making the chocolates!

So about the tour! First thing is that you’ll head into the classroom and get educated about chocolate. You’ll learn about where chocolate comes from, what it’s made out of it, how they make it into different flavors and incorporate extra ingredients.
After you learn about chocolate and try some, it’ll be time to put on your gorgeous hair net and head into the factory!
You cant take anything inside the factory with you so they provide free lockers for you. This includes bags, phones, etc. They personally escorted me through after the tour to let me snap some photos for y’all!
Inside the factory you will get to see everything from shipping, packaging, and making. They have some short videos to watch on the machinery and how it makes the chocolates. You’ll also get to taste test some truffles.
As I mentioned before we went on a production day so we got to see them making truffles as well as chocolate bars.
Before exiting the factory you can snap a photo in front of the “I love Lucy” mural (which Travis is standing in front of Lucy). Your tour isn’t done yet though.
After the factory tour you’ll get to sample some more chocolate! This one is actually a fun blind taste test to see if you can guess the flavor of chocolate.
Tours are available multiple times per day and are just $10 per person. Please keep in mind only children ages 6 and above are allowed on the factory tour.
