Rhododendron Garden

The Rhododendron Species Garden is located in Federal Way and has 22 acres full of beautiful gardens to walk through and play in. It has many different varities of rhododendrons but is also full of many other plants and trees.

The garden is open Tuesday through Sunday 10am – 4pm. Admission is $5-8, Military members and thier families are FREE. The garden also has a small nursury full of plants for purchase and a gift shop. Restrooms are located outside of the entry gate.

The pathways are dirt versus paved paths so dress accordingly with comfortable shoes for walking (I’d suggest not sandals because the small rocks and gravel will get inside your shoes).

We visited in April and it was the perfect time to see all of the Spring blooms.

There are plenty of spots to lounge and set up a picnic lunch. Benches are scarce but are available.

The Pacific Bonsai Museum is located right next door, so do both on your visit!
