Rattlesnake Ledge
Rattlesnake Lake is one of the beautiful lakes we have here in the Pacific Northwest. The lake offers a day use recreation area with a boat launch, beach, picnic tables, walking trails, swimming and a hiking trail. At the very top of this mountain there is a beautiful ledge overlooking the lake and its views are astounding. This trail is perfect for our upcoming beautiful summer weather.
Rattlesnake Ledge Trail
5.3 Miles, Moderate
Dog Friendly
Parking at the trailhead is the same as the recreation area and does tend to fill up quickly. I recommend arriving early to secure a spot. This is a popular trailhead so expect quite a few people on the trail on a nice day.
The elevation gain on this hike is 1459 feet so it’s not an easy hike. With that being said we still saw plenty of kids and families on the hike, so if you plan to take it slow it is definitely doable.
We packed a lunch with us and ate at the top with this beautiful view. There is more than one look out area / ledge so there is plenty of space to spread out and enjoy.
After the hike pack a swimsuit and plan to cool off in the lake. There will be lots of people kayaking and swimming. Dogs are allowed around the lake as well as on the trail.
The wildflowers were in full bloom and beautiful when we went in July.
