My Experience getting a Lash Lift & Tint

I have tried the lash extensions and honestly they just weren’t for me. Even with how beautiful they look, I rub my eyes too much and they drove me crazy. I decided to try a lash lift and tint to see how making my natural lashes darker and curled would look. Here is my experience and photos of the process!

Know Before You Go
Come to your appointment with a clean, make up free face! You will be laying down for 45 minutes to an hour so make sure you don’t have something in your hair that will make it uncomfortable for you to be laying on.

When I decided to get my lashes done it was a no-brainer to see my girls at Lashes Downtown in Puyallup! Alison did my lift and tint but both of them are amazing at what they do!

A Lash Lift & Tint at Lashes Downtown was $85 and lasts approximately 4-6 weeks depending on after care.

Here is a before photo of my natural lashes. Of course having natural dark brown hair they are dark naturally but not black. Natural lashes are also pretty straight. I think this is why lash extensions look so beautiful because they curve upwards.

First step is taping down your bottom lashes. Your eyes will be closed during the process. The tape is a little uncomfortable but it does not hurt at all. Your top lashes will be glued to the perm rod to give them the curl.

Wow, I should’ve cropped out my nose and peach fuzz. Sorry for it being so up close and personal. Next step is the tint, this is what makes them jet black.

None of the process hurts, and it is not harmful to your eyes or lashes.

Here is the finished product! I love them and only need to put mascara on my bottom lashes now. After care includes not getting your lashes wet for 24 hours and not using waterproof mascara on them. Alison sent me home with a lash brush and coconut oil to put on them.
