Maris Farms
There are tons of different pumpkin patches to visit in Pierce County but our personal favorite is Maris Farms in Buckley, Washington. Here are some activities you can do there, admission costs, and our favorites.

You can visit Maris Farms for several different seasons throughout the year. Every fall the farm opens during the day for family friendly activities as well as at night for older kids and adult fun. Farm Play tickets range from $21-24 per person. Haunted Woods Admission ranges from $38-50 per person. Haunted Woods is only recommended for ages over 10 and the website says it is very scary. I personally haven’t attended Haunted Woods. Tickets are required for entry and should be purchased ahead of time (they are not being sold at the gate and often sell out for certain dates).
Maris Farms is by far the biggest farm we’ve visited in the area and has a ton of activities.

The barn has lots of animals to see and (sometimes) pet including goats, turkeys, chickens, pigs and even kittens. The piglets inside the barn are the same ones that participate in the daily pig races. The pig races are so cute and definitely one of our favorite things to watch.
Pig races are only offered on certain days/times so check inside the barn when you arrive for race times.

Other activities Aurora enjoys during our trip to Maris Farms are the zipline, slide, ropes course, playground, jump pillow, fishing and more.
The apple cannon is my personal favorite. for $5-10 you can purchase some apples to get blasted out of these large guns at targets. They are very loud and might scare babies/smaller children.
There is a small gift shop with kid’s toys, locally handmade crafts, and sweets like fudge and chocolates.
If you get hungry during your visit there are plenty of food options available at the farm. There are multiple food vendors offering coffee, donuts, ice cream, roasted corn, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and more.
We usually forego the corn maze because we tend to get lost. They change the design every year and is fun if you like doing mazes. Read more about the corn maze on the website HERE.
Last but not least, the pumpkin patch! There are a ton of pumpkins to choose from. The large ones are lined up in the field already cut off the vine for you. There are more colorful pumpkins and smaller gourd varieties available also near the exit. The pumpkins make a great background for photos. You can take a hay ride around the perimeter of the pumpkin patch. On a clear day you may even be able to see Mount Rainier over the white barn.
