Visiting the Dole Plantation is a must on your trip to North Shore! Besides the fact that they have the best ice cream on the island, there are also some fun activities to do.

Visiting the Dole Plantation is free, it is one of my favorite stops on North Shore. At this time masks and temperature checks are required to enter the shop. Besides the store you can walk through the gardens, feed koi fish, and do activities such as the train tour and maze. There is also a restaurant on site.

Take a look at the trees in the parking lot. Eucalyptus trees have a really cool rainbow colored bark.

The gardens are full of tropical plants and of course, pineapples. You can read the signs to learn more about pineapples and the different types.

There is a pond with koi fish in it that your kiddos will enjoy feeding. Grab some change so you can purchase fish food.

Other than the gardens, there is a maze you can do. Tickets for this activity are $6-8 per person.

You can also do a train tour. Tickets for this are $10-12 per person. On the train ride you will learn some history about the Dole Plantation and how pineapples started growing on Oahu. You will also get a tour of the farming fields and crops.

Before entering the store you will have to get a temperature check and be wearing a face mask.

The Dole Plantation has some great souvenirs. They carry brands like Hello Kitty.

This lotion smells amazing and is a favorite of mine. I always grab the smaller bottles for $3 for friends and family.

My absolute favorite candy is the Pineapple Chewy candy. It is basically pineapple laffy taffy. It is actually cheaper at a local ABC Store but you can get a 10% military discount for anything you purchase at the Dole Plantation. Close second is the pineapple strawberry hard candy.

A must have at the Dole Plantation is the Dole Whip ice cream. The restaurant is located in the back of the store. They also have Hawaiian foods and specialty drinks.
