Christmastown: Shelton, WA
This little town goes all out for Christmas each year. Just 45-ish minutes past Olympia, its fun for an afternoon of Christmas cheer. Shop on the main street downtown, grab a hot coffee and walk through the Christmas Tree Maze.
Park right on the main road through town. We followed the directions on Apple maps to “Shelton, WA”. The main street of town is filled with Christmas lights, trees, and decorations. They obviously really pop at night.
There is a really cute steam train that they also decorate, it makes a great backdrop for photos.
These cute mini trees were zip tied to the light poles and decorated with light poles.
The town has a few cute shops, mostly antiques.

Some of the store windows have Gingerbread houses displayed inside. There were some really cool ones like the Nightmare Before Christmas (below).
We grabbed a cup of coffee and some Christmas cookies from Urraco Coffee Co.
Last but not least we visited the Christmas Tree Maze. It is within walking distance of the street parking downtown.
Now, the website says they hold the Guiness World Record but if they do it is pretty deceiving. We were expecting a HUGE tree maze (like corn mazes usually are) but it is a small maze in the corner of a parking lot. With that being said, we still had fun. We were in Shelton overall about an hour and a half.
The light maze is FREE. Even though it said only open on weekends, I think that is for all the activities. We went on a Tuesday and were the only ones there, we were able to walk through the maze as many times as we wanted.
