Shark’s Cove
Sharks Cove is one of our favorite beaches on the island to snorkel at. This kid friendly beach is a great option if you need little or no waves and shallow water. Also have no fear, there are no sharks.
-
Byodo-In Temple
The Byodo-In Temple is one of my favorite places to visit on Oahu. So much so that we visit on every trip. It is by far one of the prettiest places on the island and feels like a different country.

Kayaking to the Mokulua Islands
One of our absolute favorite activities from our four trips to Oahu is our Guided Kayak Trip to the Mokulua Islands with Two Good Kayaks. These small islands are off the coast of Oahu and are known for all of the sea turtles that like to hang out off the coast.

Dole Plantation
Visiting the Dole Plantation is a must on your trip to North Shore! Besides the fact that they have the best ice cream on the island, there are also some fun activities to do.
-
Hiking the Makapu’u’ Tide Pools
Our favorite snorkeling spot on Oahu is a hidden location off of the Makapu'u' Lighthouse Trail. This gorgeous secluded spot is worth the hike down and has some gorgeous reefs and fish. You'll find tide pools, an amazing view, and multiple blow holes at the bottom.

Kepokai II Catamaran
One of the most fun activities we did in Waikiki was a catamaran sail. We did a day sail on the Kepoikai II and enjoyed an hour sail with gorgeous views of Diamond Head, fun music and good company.

Surfjack Hotel
There are a ton of different hotels to choose from in Waikiki, but I fell in love with the Surfjack Hotel the moment we stepped inside. This quiet and homey boutique hotel sits in the heart of Waikiki and offers a great experience during your vacation. Here are a few things we loved and info about our stay.

Sunset Sail on the Mai Tai Catamaran
Going on a sunset cruise is a must during your visit to Waikiki. Stunning views of Diamond Head, the Honolulu skyline, and the ocean await. There are quite a few companies to choose from but this is why we loved the Mai Tai Catamaran.

Consider a Photoshoot on Vacation
Since I'm obsessed with photos, we naturally take a lot of photos on trips and vacations. I have never actually booked a photo shoot with a professional photographer while on vacation though. Now that I finally bit the bullet and did it, I don't think we will ever NOT hire a professional again. Here is why I think you should hire a professional photographer on your vacation and the photographer that did ours while on vacation in Hawaii.
