A Foodie’s Guide to Las Vegas

Food is a big deal to me and naturally when we go out of town I have to know the best spots. I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with food in Vegas because there are thousands of restaurants and I’ve never had a bad meal there. These are a few of my favorite spots to hit on our annual Vegas trip!

If you’ve read my other posts about Las Vegas then you know that I’m obsessed with The Cosmopolitan. It is my favorite resort on the strip and for good reason. There are a TON of restaurants I recommend inside here, read on for my favorites and what to eat.

District Donuts
If you’re looking for a unique donut, you HAVE to go to District. Their giant donuts have toppings and are stuffed full with unique flavors. When we visited they had Blueberry Cheesecake (what I got, is pictured), King Cake, Chocolate Smores and more. They are drool worthy.

Juice Standard
Also inside the Cosmo, you’ll find this sweet spot for a cold one. No, non-alcoholic but so tasty these juices are organic and cold pressed. Try as many as you want before deciding your favorite. My personal fave is the “Bee Happy”.

Egg Slut
Okay, I know what you’re thinking…why on earth would you want to eat anywhere with the word “slut” in the title??? This is the best egg I’ve ever tasted. The “slut” is a mashed potato mixture topped with an over easy egg and served with crispy buttery bread to dip.

Secret Pizza
I can’t link a website or anything for this one, it actually doesn’t have one. Secret pizza is just a made up name the locals have termed it since this restaurant does not have a sign either. To find it you need to head up to the third floor of The Cosmopolitan and towards Blue Ribbon. There is a long hallway next to it that looks like you are walking into a restroom. This is Secret Pizza! They have some of the creamiest, cheesiest, and best pizza I have ever tasted.

That ends my obsession of the food inside The Cosmpolitan. To read about the restaurants inside and other info on this resort, click here.

Royce Chocolates
Royce is located inside the Venetian and is not your ordinary chocolate shop. You can sample any of the chocolates in the shop before purchasing but the one you HAVE to try is the Nama. This bar comes in a few flavors (dark, milk, white) and is the creamiest, smoothest chocolate I’ve ever tasted in my life. This chocolate has the consistency of butter. It has to be refrigerated so wait and grab one right before you leave. They will wrap it in cold packs and don’t worry they are TSA approved!

Honolulu Cookie Co
This is one of my favorite sweet treats from one of my favorite tropical islands, Hawaii! Las Vegas is the only spot you’ll find these cookies off of the islands. The cookies come in tons of different flavors, all of which you will can sample before purchasing. My favorites are the chocolate chip macadamia and the Mango.

Spago by Wolfgang Puck
This restaurant is located inside the Bellagio and sits on the water with a beautiful view of the fountains. One thing you HAVE to order is the butternut squash prosciutto pizza. Okay I realize that probably sounds gross but it is amazing! Not something I would’ve ever ordered on a menu but I’m so glad I did.

The Wynn Buffet
The Wynn’s atmosphere is absolutely to die for. The floral atrium is worth the money even without the food. The Wynn’s food was delicious as well with plenty of main entrees, meats, and desserts to choose from. They have a potato bar, a taco bar, a crepe bar, and more. You can grab sushi, crab legs, and the sliced meats were incredible. We ate dinner here and it was $45.99 per adult. They only offer Brunch or Dinner. Now the Bellagio claims to have the best buffet and so does The Wynn. I have eaten at both and personally I like The Wynn’s better!

The Dapper Donut
These delicious hot mini donuts are made to order. They use to be located inside the MGM but with research I realized they are now a mobile food truck! If they happen to be set up near the strip one day, you HAVE to grab some. My personal favorite flavor was the lemon blueberry. They are the best donuts I’ve ever had!

Sugar Factory
If you’ve never eaten at a Sugar Factory, Vegas is the place to do it! It is an experience all in itself. You cant miss it with the giant rubber duck outside. The menu is over 40 pages long and it was hard to choose what we wanted, but we decided on the S’mores Milkshake. Yes, we paid $20 for a milkshake and I’d do it again. This milkshake was over a foot tall, stacked high and chocolate covered. We scraped the chocolate and graham crackers off the side of the glass and it was still warm. Even with both of us we couldn’t finish this massive shake.

Off The Strip
This restaurant is located in the Linq Promenade and has one of the best appetizers I’ve ever tasted. We tried the rolled New York strip with asparagus, TO DIE FOR. Give me a years supply. It’s a must have!
