A Foodie’s Guide to Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom has some fun food options, especially with the new World of Pandora. Here are a few of my favorites that you need to grab during your day at Animal Kingdom.
Night Blossom Drink – Pongu Pongu
First up is World of Pandora. This quick eats stand is located right outside of the Windtraders store. This slushie drink is non-alcoholic and is great for a hot day. A little tart, but sweet too. Boba beads adorn the top.
Pineapple Lumpia – Pongu Pongu
Also at Pongu Pongu, grab this delicious pineapple egg roll. It is filled with pineapple, cream cheese, fried and dipped in sugar.
Cheeseburger Pods – Satu’li Canteen
Right next to Pongu Pongu is a quick service restaurant with indoor seating. There are a few delicious bites to grab here, starting with the Cheeseburger Pods. These are a dumpling shaped bread with a cheeseburger inside. Available in kids meal and adult meal size.
Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse – Satu’li Canteen
This is my favorite dessert in the park. I could literally eat five a day. It is a melt in your mouth blueberry cheesecake yummy mousse goodness.
Pandoran Sunrise – Satu’li Canteen
This drink is also available at Satu’li Canteen. This delicious blend of tropical goodness is non-alcoholic and I personally like it better than the night blossom.
Tree of Life Cupcake – Starbucks
Head to Starbucks (follow the signs to World of Pandora) and check out their seasonal cupcake. When we visited, it was a pumpkin spice Tree of Life cupcake.
Simba Sunset – Tamu Tamu
A dole whip is always a must have on your trip to Disney. Animal Kingdom offers a Dole Whip with a twist. It is a large Pineapple Dole Whip with watermelon, coconut, and strawberry syrup. SO good.
Mini Mango Pie – Yak & Yeti Quick Service
Available at both Yak & Yeti restaurants (there is a table service and a quick service) this delicious pie is a must have. It is my second favorite dessert after the Blueberry Cheesecake.
Baked Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork – Flame Tree BBQ
Saved the best for last, this meal is the most delicious in the park. Baked macaroni and cheese topped with pulled pork, onion rings, and coleslaw.
Finding the fun everywhere life takes us!
