Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival
Woodburn, OR
Approx. 2.5 Hours from JBLM

Admission: $5 per person 13+ or $20 for entire car
Dogs Welcome (and Ferrets apparently)

The Tulip festival generally runs every year for the whole month of April. Weekday hours this year were 9 am to 6 pm and Weekends 8 am to 7 pm.

I’m so glad we were able to make it the last weekend this past year. The beauty of these flowers is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The colors pop against the green and the background of the mountains. It is so beautiful.

My suggestion, arrive early. Early as in when the farm opens. It is crowded and the traffic gets backed up pretty far on the back country roads. I also suggest arriving early if you want any chance of having photos without one hundred other people in them.

Pets on a leash are welcome. We saw lots of other pooches, as well as a leashed ferret. They are allowed everywhere on the grounds. Tulips are toxic for dogs though, so make sure your furry friends don’t lick or eat any.

There are tons of amazing photo opportunities and plenty of ways you can angle yourself, wait patiently for people to walk by, or go deeper into the fields so you avoid photo bombs in your pictures.

The farm has plenty of restrooms, a gift shop, wine tasting, and cut tulips to purchase. You cannot pick tulips in the fields but you can buy a bouquet for $5. On the weekends they have tents with vendors set up with crafts and fair food. There were also a few food trucks the day we went.

Included with your admission is a playground for the kids, rubber duck racing, and swings. There are activities like rock climbing, bungee jumping, and bounce houses that require tickets. Tickets are $1 each and most activities are 3-10 tickets each.
