West Palm Beach Food Tour
Food Tours are one of my favorite things to do when visiting a new city. I was ecstatic to see that West Palm Beach actually had three different food tours to choose from. Here’s some info about the one we did with West Palm Beach Food Tours and the fantastic food we had.
West Palm Beach Food Tours
West Palm Beach Food Tours has three different food tours available during your trip to West Palm: Downtown Food Tour, Historic Neighborhood Food Tour, and the Happy Hour Food Tour. We decided on the Downtown Food Tour and had a fabulous time full of delicious food. Tour tickets start at $65 per person. This includes seating at all restaurants, all of your food and drinks, and tips for the servers at all of the restaurants. Gratuity for your guide is of course encouraged if you enjoy your tour. You will also enjoy some history and sights of Downtown Palm Beach throughout the tour. Keep in mind this is a walking tour but it was a very easy walk.
Avocado Grill
This restaurant was on my list to try while in town so I was excited this was our first stop on the tour. It is listed as one of the most Instagrammable restaurants in West Palm, and for good reason. It is absolutely to die for inside, from all of the greenery to the tropical vibe and the “You Guac my World” light up sign.

Here we sampled two things: Passionfruit Margarita and Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos. The Passionfruit Margarita was very tangy and slightly sweet. Mahi Mahi is my favorite fish and their fish taco was by far the best I’ve ever tasted.
As I previously mentioned this tour is a walking tour and our guide was actually Kristl, one of the owners. She was very knowledgeable in all things West Palm and you can tell she has a real love for the city and for food.
The Ben Autograph Collection/Spruzzo
The next stop is arguably the best view in the city. I noticed The Ben Hotel when I was looking for a hotel to stay in and on the tour we went up to the roof top to see Spruzzo Restaurant. We did not eat here, instead we soaked in the view.

Pistache French Bistro
Our Third stop might’ve been my favorite. I love France and French food so this beautiful bistro was a top stop. The owner grew up in France and brought his culinary skills to West Palm in 2008.

We actually sampled one of my favorite French dishes, La Croque Monsieur with a side salad. This sandwich has cheese on the inside, and on top and is filled with lovely folds of ham. The side salad had a particularly yummy vinaigrette.
Our drink at this location was a French Pear Martini. It was definitely one of the stronger drinks on the tour but had a great taste.
Along with a bit of history about the city you’ll get to see some pretty views as well. I love how much artwork is in the city. It is full of murals, sculptures, and some great parks.
Salento Coffee
I’m a coffee addict so I was excited to see a coffee shop on the tour. Not only did we get to sample some authentic Columbian coffee and pastries but we also got a demonstration from the owner.

The demo we watched was how to make a traditional Columbian coffee drink called “Tinto”. He explained how they source their beans straight from farmers in Columbia.
They needed a volunteer to hand grind the coffee beans so my daughter Aurora did it.
You can purchase a kit which includes all of the supplies to make the Tinto Coffee drink at home.
We also got to sample two pastries: Pandebono and Pastel de Guayaba. The pandebono looked like a fluffy roll but was actually so moist inside. We couldn’t believe it actually wasn’t bread either. Trust me though, you’ll go back and buy more later because they are just that good. The guava pastry was also to die for, it tied for my favorite food item on the tour.
Kapow Noodle Bar
This Asian Fusion Restaurant is fantastically decorated with fun comics and Chinese lanterns. This vibe inside will have anyone in a great mood upon entering.

Our drink was a Lavender Blueberry Mojito, which is also offered as a mocktail for those who don’t drink alcohol. The process of making this drink includes soaking the blueberries in vodka for twelve hours. So beware of eating the blueberry after downing your drink.
Our food sampling was a bento box of the top three sellers off their menu: General Tso’s Cauliflower, Pork Potstickers, and a Thai Donut. I was surprised how much I liked the General Tso’s Cauliflower. It tasted so much like chicken we were even able to get Aurora to eat some. The potsticker was also delectable and topped with microgreens. The Thai donut takes the cake at this stop though, it was by far my favorite and comes with two dipping sauces: Leche Condensada & Raspberry-Lychee Sauce. What’s so special about a donut? You’ll have to try it for yourself to find out.
Ganache Bakery
Our final stop was Ganache Bakery, which you may recognize because the head chef was runner-up on last year’s Halloween Wars on Food Network. Him and his wife bring an island twist to all of their baking and are a favorite for wedding cakes among locals.

We got to witness a demo here by Jamal’s wife, on how to open a coconut. She used the machete very easily. We sampled fresh coconut water and tamarind juice. Tamarind is a fruit that grows locally which is mostly bitter but they have found a way to sweeten it and make it into a juice.
We also tasted a key lime pie tartlet which was a tie for my favorite item on the tour. It was absolutely delicious and I could’ve easily eaten about five more.
We had a fantastic time on the tour and I highly recommend West Palm Beach Food Tours as an activity on your vacay to West Palm Beach.
