Poulsbo,  Washington

Visiting Poulsbo, Washington

Poulsbo, Washington is by far one of my favorite towns in Washington! This cute town resembles a Viking village. Located on the Kitsap Penninsula and just an hour and fifteen minutes from Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Read this post about what all there is to do and see.

Everything in Poulsbo is viking themed, even the benches. The downtown area is full of restaurants and shops so make sure you have plenty of time to walk around and enjoy. You can easily do Poulsbo in a day trip.
Visit the town’s tourism website HERE.

Take a photo in the cute red phone booth on the edge of town.

You HAVE to stop in Sluy’s Bakery. It has a huge selection of bakery items and everything is delicious. The “Viking donut” is a donut as big as your head. They also have some Swedish treats as well.

There are a ton of cute locally owned shops. All of the ones we went in were dog friendly. Here were a few of our favorites:
Flicka
Tickled Pink
The NW Dog
Away with Words
Beachside Boutique
Nordiska

There are quite a few restaurants, wineries, and coffee shops to choose from. We have eaten/visited the following and they were great:
Cups Espresso
Green Light Diner
The Loft

Boehms Chocolates is a must do! Snap a photo outside in front of their huge mural then head inside to grab some yummy chocolate. My absolute favorite is the milk chocolate rainier. It is a chocolate covered caramel with maraschino cherries.

If you have kiddos with you, they will have fun at the Sea Discovery Center! This small aquarium is FREE admission and open to the public. There is a touch tank where you can feel sea stars, anemones, and more.

Right beside the Sea Discover Center is the Marina and docks. Here you can rent kayaks if you want to take a spin. The view of the water is gorgeous.

On the other side you’ll find a large park to stroll in.

Finding the fun everywhere life takes us!
Love, Olivia Michelle
