The Best Instagram Spots in Waikiki

I’m a huge photo junkie and I love finding the best spots for those fantastic Instagram photos we are all craving to have on our feeds. Here are some of the best spots to grab great photos in Waikiki Beach.

Royal Hawaiian Hotel
2259 Kalakaua Ave
Honolulu, HI 96815

This gorgeous hotel is my favorite color, pink! It is old architecture that is elegant and makes a great background for photos. The interior design and restaurants inside make great backgrounds too. The best time to go is early in the morning so you don’t have photo bombers in the background.

This gorgeous two piece can-can style skirt is under $50 on Amazon and comes in two colors! Click the photo to view and shop.

Hawaiian Aroma Caffe
Inside the Waikiki Beachcomber
2300 Kalakaua Avenue
Honolulu, HI 96815

Every inch of this Caffe is Instagrammable! From the cocktail bar, to the plant hallway, to the gift shop area and mural all of these spots make great photos. Of course you need to grab something while you’re here too!

I couldn’t link my exact outfit since these two Ripcurl items are Hawaii exclusives, but I linked some similar tropical vibing kimonos here! Click on the photo to view and shop.

Telephone Booths
Bank of Hawaii
2155 Kalakaua Avenue
Honolulu, HI 96815

Okay I know what you’re thinking, why on Earth would I put a telephone booth on here? Well, the telephone booths in Hawaii are actually really cute with bright colors and Hawaiian flowers. This particular line of booths is located in front of the Bank of Hawaii in Waikiki but they can be found in many public places.

Banyan Tree Roots
Waikiki Beach, Fort DeRussy Park, Moana Surfrider, Royal Hawaiian
This tree is really unique in the fact that is has roots that grow downwards from the top of the tree. They look really cool and make a great background for photos. There are quite a few around Waikiki so I listed a couple places to find them.

Our jumpsuits are Lilly Pulitzer, my favorite brand for matching with Aurora. This particular print is from a previous collection but I also linked other matching items that are currently available. Just click the photo to view and shop.

Waikiki Beach
Okay this one may be a no-brainer but put some thought into a good photo on the beach! Besides just a cute swimsuit photo, wear a fancy dress for something unique. Grab a yummy food item from nearby and bring it as a prop. Its pretty impossible to get a photo on Waikiki beach with nobody else in the background because its so crowded but the earlier you go the better!

Kaka’ako Wall Murals
Okay so these murals aren’t in Waikiki, they are about fifteen minutes away by car, but they are worth checking out! This entire neighborhood in Honolulu is filled with them and they are all unique. Just drive around and choose one.

Here are some similar boho style dresses, my exact dress is from a local Washington Boutique! Click the photo to view and shop.
