Taste Buzz Food Tour in Las Vegas

If you didn’t know, I’m a huge foodie. I found the Taste Buzz Food Tour on TripAdvisor. I highly recommend taking it! It’s a bit pricey at $89 per person, but SO worth it. This company also does other tours which I would’ve done if we had more time. We did the daytime Las Vegas Strip Foodie Tour. You’ll meet up at The Cosmopolitan hotel on the strip, which is my favorite by far.

What I loved even more about the tour is that they give you history along with your amazing eats. The Cosmopolitan hotel wanted to focus more on eating, drinking, and shopping versus casinos which is 99% opposite of all hotels on the strip. It benefits them because they stand out.

The first stop on the food tour is Egg Slut. This is basically a one dish wonder, popular for their “slut” which consists of an egg, mashed potatoes, and chives with a side of bread to dip. One of the best things I’ve ever tried.

If we were just heading around Vegas ourselves I never would’ve stopped at a place like this. Eggs in the afternoon? No thanks. Another awesome perk of the food tour is no lines. Your guide will walk right up and grab your food for you, no waiting.

The Juice Standard
The next place we went was also another place I wouldn’t typically visit, The Juice Standard. Here we tried their entire juice line up and nut milks! Some we liked and some we didn’t, but dang you’ve got to get some Bee Vibrant and Bee Happy.

Also inside The Cosmopolitan, there are some hidden bars and restaurants that they will tell you about. Somewhere on the third floor, in a hallway that looks like your going to the bathroom is a pizza place with no name. Seriously, there is no sign or advertisements or anything. The locals call it “Secret Pizza”. Hands down, best pizza I’ve ever tasted. Somebody please mail me some when you visit.

Seriously, there’s nowhere for me to link because they don’t have a website or even social media page.

Dirt Dog
It’s in a little shopping area on the strip in the middle of tons of different restaurants. This hot dog was insane. I’m a plain-Jane girl for hot dogs and hamburgers. Plain plain plain. Bun and dog, meat and bun only, no ketchup, nothing. This had I don’t even know what on it and the taste was incredible. We also had a fried Oreo and it’s ten times better than your fair fried Oreo’s. The fried Oreo comes with horchata whipped cream to dip in, I’ll take the whole bowl and a spoon please. I’m drooling just remembering it now.

Last for the tour you’ll head over to the Linq Shops. This is a newer, nicer area right off the strip with tons of restaurants. This is where the High Roller (I kept calling it the London Eye) and a zip line are. The only zip line on the strip.

Off the Strip
We went and sat down to give our feet a rest (don’t forget this is a walking food tour) inside. I know I’ve already said this, but I need to say it again, the food was amazing. Like some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. We tried the rolled New York strip with asparagus, TO DIE FOR. Give me a years supply. We also had the Lobster ravioli which you won’t find on the menu because it’s exclusive for the food tour right now. It was really good too.

Sweet Envy
You’ll end the tour tour with two sweet stops. First up is gelato at Sweet Envy. We did the tour on my birthday so our guide threw in a candle and macaroon for me too, she was so sweet. I tried the caramel gelato, and what gelato isn’t sweet and creamy.

Honolulu Cookie Company
The last stop we have actually visited the original location in Honolulu, and this is the only one you’ll find in the continental U.S. They have tons of flavors of their biscuit shortbread cookies in the signature shape, pineapple. You’ll get a grab bag of cookies to go and you can sample the other cookies in store. They are shipped fresh from Hawaii twice a week!
