Seattle Architecture Tour
If you are looking for something unique to do in Seattle, look no further than the Seattle Architecture Foundation. They offer multiple tours around the city of Seattle and in the Historic neighborhoods of Seattle. Here is some info on the tour we took and what to expect.

There are several different tours offered in the city and historic neighborhoods of Seattle. We did the “From Stone to Steel” Tour. Tours are guided walking tours so plan for weather (jacket and/or umbrella). Tour tickets range from $18+ per person. Our tour started at Pioneer Park and continued through that general area.
Visit the Foundation’s website for more info HERE.

My mom and I enjoyed the tour, but I will say Aurora got bored after about thirty minutes. I’d suggest making this an adult thing since kids have a short attention span. There were no bathroom or inside stops on the tour.
I liked the fact that our guide had photographs of the original buildings. If you know anything about Seattle history, it burned to the ground and destroyed most of the buildings. It was neat to compare what they originally looked like or changes they’d gone through.
I’d never noticed all of the different styles of architecture in the city before. Sure, you see the pretty buildings but you don’t stop to look and appreciate them while you’re in the city. On the tour you’ll get to see styles like Romanesque, Victorian, Bosark, Art Deco, Interntional, and more.
