Sailing Tour to Delos & Rhenia from Mykonos
Every Greek island we visited we made a point to spend at least one day on the water. While visiting Mykonos we decided to sail over to two neighboring islands to explore some archaeological ruins and snorkel. Here is some info about our tour and what to expect.

Mykonos Combo Yacht Cruise to Delos & Rhenia
We booked our tour through Viator Travel. I use Viator on pretty much every trip we go on, they have a ton of choices in every price range! The specific tour we did is the first one listed below. Tours leave from the new port which is a short boat taxi or Uber ride from the main area of Mykonos. Our tour was on a Turkish Yacht and we went out in the morning.
The boat was very spacious and there were plenty of spots to hang out. It was not a long boat ride over to Delos, which was the first stop.
Delos is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the entire island is protected. You cannot step foot in the water near the island or you can get fined. A guided tour of the site is included in the cost of your ticket, but the entry fee onto the island is not included. We paid cash €12 per adult and €6 per child for entry onto the island.
Our guide was there waiting for us right off the boat and passed out head sets for us.
It was incredible to see how much was still intact on the island. here were so many neighborhoods where you could clearly see the walls of homes and artifacts.
There are also a TON of stray cats on the island (and all over Greece) which Aurora loved!
There are quite a few areas that are blocked off on the island but one of the largest and in tact homes you can actually walk through. This mural in the outer courtyard was incredible.
Make sure you see the Delos lions before you leave! The Delos Museum was under construction when we visited so we didn’t get to go inside, but hopefully when you visit it will be open again!
When you leave Delos you will make a quick sail over to the island of Rhenia. While you won’t go onto the island, you can snorkel, swim and enjoy the beautiful waters in the Aegean Sea.
If you are a daredevil like my daughter and husband, there are a few different spots you can jump off the boat into the water. The boat also has snorkel gear you can borrow.
There was quite a bit to see under the boat snorkeling!
During your swim time the crew will be preparing an amazing reek lunch for you. It was delicious and is included in your ticket!
