Parker Hotel Palm Springs
The Parker Hotel in Palm Springs is by far one of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stepped foot in. Every little detail is extravagant and thoughtfully put together. We did not stay here (I wish!) but we got to eat at the restaurant inside and explore the lobby area. Here is why you have to stop by and see it for yourself!

The Parker is one of the must see mid-century modern architecture buildings in Palm Springs. Parking is valet only but if you tell them you just want to look inside the lobby and check out the hotel I’m sure they’d let you self park. We went with breakfast reservations at Norma’s. I highly recommend eating at least one meal there if not two. It was our favorite meal in Palm Springs. If you want to stay at the hotel, rates range from $400-2,500 per night (which is why we didn’t stay) though I would’ve loved to!
The decor is wild, extravagant and so well put together. I loved every inch of the lobby.
Norma’s Palm Springs
Open daily 7am – 10pm
Norma’s is one of the top rated restaurants for Palm Springs and we discovered why. Everything was amazing from the decorations in the restaurants, to the customer service, and of course the food. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time as they are required. We went for breakfast to celebrate my birthday.

Norma’s makes fresh smoothies and its a different flavor every day. They will bring each person a sample of the daily flavor. The one we tried was delicious.
In the mornings I am a hot drink person so I had to get my coffee. Couldn’t resist snapping a photo of the fun placemats.
Another post I’d read before we went was that we had to ty the beignets. These beignets were heavenly and that’s coming from someone who has tried Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. You simply must order them! They come with lemon curd and berry dipping sauces on the side.
I ordered the Super Blueberry Pancakes for Aurora and I to share, It was a huge portion and was plenty for the both of us. They were absolutely delectable. The house made Devonshire cream was some of the best I’ve had.
Travis ordered the Upstream Eggs Benedict. It was layered with salmon and caviar and a side of fingerling potatoes. I’m personally not a fan of raw fish but he said it was the best he’s ever had. Speaking of caviar, Norma’s is the only place I’ve ever seen something on a menu that cost $1000.00 for an entrĂ©e. If you have the money then maybe you should try the Zillion Dollar Lobster Fritatta with 10 oz Caviar for $1000. Let me know how it was if you do!
Our waiter overheard us talking about my birthday and brought out this mousse plate. It was so yummy and a pleasant surprise!
