Military Themed Elf on the Shelf Ideas
We do Elf on the Shelf each year and with military life comes deployments. Travis has been deployed during Christmas so I decided to incorporate our Elf. Here are some ideas for military themed Elf on the Shelf.

If you do the candy or a type of countdown for while your loved one is gone, have your Elf participate. I personally made Mistletoe the uniform with an old pair of Travis’ uniform but if you aren’t crafty and would rather purchase one, I found the following on Etsy:

Alright so this took a lot of planning ahead of time. I bought a duplicate elf to mail to Travis while he was deployed. So like October so I made sure it’d be there in time. I had Mistletoe leave a note for Aurora that she was going to visit her dad.
I had Travis send me this photo and Facetime us that day so Aurora could see Mistletoe with him overseas. He had cut out snowflakes and had her sitting there with scissors.
The next day Mistletoe was back and she had a letter from Travis. So obviously I had to have him mail a letter to me way ahead of time also so I could put it out.
Most military members collect challenge coins so one day Mistletoe put his coins in the shape of an “M” for her name.
I hope you enjoyed these military themed Elf on the Shelf ideas! For more ideas, see my other post:
