Lakeland Food Tour
I love Food Tours and when I heard there was one open in my hometown of Lakeland, Florida I couldn’t wait to try it out. Here’s what to expect when booking with Lakeland Food Tours.
Lakeland Food Tours
Lake Food Tours actually has several different tours to choose from. I personally did the Downtown Lakeland one. If you don’t want to walk, there is also a Golf cart tour. You don’t just get food, you will also get a history of Lakeland, info about how the businesses started, and more.

Stop 1: Palace Pizza
We started out at a well known classic, Palace Pizza. You’ll get to choose your own slice, but I grabbed the Rustica. This is NOT a pizza slice I would ever usually order but I was pleasantly surprised, it was delicious. It is topped with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, ham and ricotta cheese.
Stop 2: Fresco’s Southern Kitchen & Bar
This restaurant has one of the most extensive menus I’ve ever seen. They are most popular for their weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas, or their extravagant and over-the-top milkshakes. Here you will get to sample the Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer. I’ll be honest, I don’t like spicy food and I’m not a fan of buffalo chicken wings, so it wasn’t really my thing. But I went back later and grabbed some dessert, SO good!
Stop 3: Mojo Federal
This spot is nestled in the old US Post Office. This old antique building is absolutely gorgeous and is very picturesque. One of the best BBQ plates I’ve ever tasted, we ordered the Burnt Ends. Seriously they melt in your mouth and had me drooling with the smell.
Stop 4: Cafe Roti
This unique restaurant is a fusion of Pakistani and Indian food. You will get to try two things at this stop. I drank the most delicious and creamy smoothie type drink I’ve ever tasted, the Mango Lassi. I could drink a whole gallon and still want more. Also stating that I love mango flavoring and fresh mangos. We also had the Chicken Samosa. This yummy mixture of chicken, veggies, and spices is cooked to perfection is a pastry shell.
Stop 5: Black & Brew
If you are from Lakeland, then you have been to Black & Brew. But did you know they now have several locations? We visited the newly opened Lake Morton location. Coffee, lunch, snacks, they’ve got it!
