Kona Joe Coffee Farm

The Big Island of Hawaii is great for farming. You can find all kinds of farms ranging from fruit farms, cocoa farms, coffee farms and more! We visited Kona Joe Coffee Farm & Factory just twenty minutes south of Kona. Here is what to expect on your visit and the types of tours they offer.

Kona Joe Coffee offers multiple tours; we unfortunately did not have time for a tour but would have loved to do one. Some tours even have the option of roasting your own coffee beans. You can visit the farm during opening hours and browse the shop or grab a cup of coffee from the cafe.
Read more info on Kona Joe on their website HERE.

You can see the coffee beans growing on the vines right in the parking lot when you arrive.

The store has lots of different flavors of coffee and they are available in ground or whole bean varieties. They even have chocolate covered coffee beans.

You can see the factory you just cannot enter unless you are on a tour. The aspect of roasting your own coffee beans was really cool and I was bummed we didn’t have time to do a tour.

KONA JOE COFFEE

For it being the “Big Island”, we were surprised how much of a “small world” it was. We ran into the couple we met at Green Sand Beach earlier in our trip while we were at Kona Joe.
