Holiday Magic at the Fairgrounds
This year was our first year visiting Holiday Magic and it did not disappoint! This walk through experience has way more than just Christmas lights, there is plenty to see and do. Here’s what to expect before you visit!
Holiday Magic
Washington State Fairgrounds
Tickets must be purchased for the specific day you would like to attend. On your specified day you can visit anytime you want between 5-10pm with the last entry at 9:30pm. It took us about two hours to get through everything so plan accordingly. Admission ranges from $15-23 per person. If the event is not sold out, tickets can be purchased on site at the gate.

The first place upon entering is the Hometown Holiday Forest. This building contains a bunch of Christmas trees decorated by local Puyallup businesses.
Per current WA State Mandate, negative COVID test or vaccine card is required for those patrons ages 21+. However, the fairgrounds is offering FREE rapid testing at the entrance. Maska are also required.
There is an indoor laser light show inside one of the buildings, the show itself is an hour long so sit and watch as long as you’d like.
Almost all of the attractions are indoors so no need to worry about the weather! We really enjoyed this indoor light tunnel.
In another building there was a ton of backdrops for photos. They were all so cute it was fun to snap different pics.
The living nativity was cool. In the back you can see Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus. In the front there is a live cow, donkey, and sheep.
There are plenty of food options. They are fair food booths like burgers, pizza and fries. The famous Fisher Scones are also available for purchase. Inside the picnic table building there are characters to snap photos with and a hot cocoa bar where the kids can make their own hot chocolate for free.
Santa’s Village is a cute area where you can walk through parts of Santa’s Workshop. This includes the toy shop, candy store, Mrs. Claus’ cookie kitchen and more. Kids will receive a mini stocking and a cookie with milk.
There are two rides available during Holiday Magic. You can take the train around some Christmas lights and the kids can ride the Carousal.
Ice skating is available for an additional cost. This includes skate rental and should be purchased online when you buy your entry tickets. Inside this same building are local food, apparel, and craft vendors.
