Lulu's Palm Springs

Lulu’s California Bistro
200 S Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs CA 92262
Lulu’s has an extensive menu and offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner throughout the week. You really cant go wrong here! It does get busy so I recommend making a reservation, even if its a week day.

We tried the Eggplant parmesan at Lulu’s and it was delicious. I loved the patio seating area and bright colors of the restaurant.

The Colony Club Palm Springs

The Colony Club – Colony Palms Hotel
572 N. Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262
You can sit inside at the ornately decorated dining room or poolside in the shade. The Colony hotel is gorgeous and the patio view is fantastic. Again, I recommend making reservations ahead of time.

I ordered a burger, (I know I know) but it’s one of my favorites and it was a great choice! Travis ordered the smoked chicken sandwich that I somehow regretted to snap a photo of before he scarfed down.

Cheers!

Boozehounds Palm Springs

Boozehounds
2080 N Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs CA 92262
This was probably our favorite restaurant in Palm Springs for it’s dog friendliness. This is a restaurant where you can bring your dog and they can dine with you! There are multiple places to dine and those with dogs are in a completely separate area (in case you don’t have your fur baby with you). Not only do they have a great menu to choose from, your dog has it’s own menu too! Each dog gets their own mat to lay on and a water bowl.

Muffin was very happy to be able to eat with us. We ordered him a weenie-tini: chicken broth with chicken flavored whip cream.

I ordered the adobo chicken without the chile. It was delicious! The chicken was so flavorful. Aurora wanted a burger and it was really good as well!

the tropical palm springs

The Tropicale
330 E Amado Road, Palm Springs CA 92262
I loved the tropical theme and all of the pink at the Tropicale. It is open Sunday through Thursday from 5-10pm for dinner. You can dine inside or out on the covered patio. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day. I recommend making reservations. The patio if pet friendly.

calamari the tropicale palm springs

For a starter we ordered calamari. It was a bit too spicy for me, but if you like spicy then go for it. Aurora and I ordered the Margherita Pizza. It was good but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. Travis’ Southern fried chicken sandwich was bomb though!

Norma's Palm Springs

Normas – The Parker Hotel
4200 E Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92264
Norma’s was by far the best meal we had in Palm Springs. Norma’s is one of the top rated restaurants for Palm Springs and we discovered why. Everything was amazing from the decorations in the restaurant, to the customer service, and of course the food. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time as they are required. We went for breakfast to celebrate my birthday.

smoothie normas palm springs

Norma’s makes fresh smoothies and its a different flavor every day. They will bring each person a sample of the daily flavor. The one we tried was delicious.

eggs benedict Norma's Palm Springs

Travis ordered the Upstream Eggs Benedict. It was layered with salmon and caviar and a side of fingerling potatoes. I’m personally not a fan of raw fish but he said it was the best he’s ever had. Speaking of caviar, Norma’s is the only place I’ve ever seen something on a menu that cost $1000.00 for an entrée. If you have the money then maybe you should try the Zillion Dollar Lobster Fritatta with 10 oz Caviar for $1000. Let me know how it was if you do!

Norma's Palm Springs breakfast

I ordered the Super Blueberry Pancakes for Aurora and I to share, It was a huge portion and was plenty for the both of us. They were absolutely delectable. The house made Devonshire cream was some of the best I’ve had.

Norma's Palm Springs

A post from another blogger I’d read before we went was that we had to ty the beignets. These beignets were heavenly and that’s coming from someone who has tried Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. You simply must order them! They come with lemon curd and berry dipping sauces on the side.

Brandini Toffee

Brandini Toffee
132 S. Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs, CA 92262
If you’re looking for the perfect snack while strolling Palm Canyon Drive, then Brandini Toffee is the answer! This home made recipe is the best toffee I’ve ever had. You can try it in many different forms.

toffee palm springs

They have free samples! We sampled the toffee popcorn, but ultimately decided to order the hand dipped toffee bar and a toffee ice cream. When they make the toffee bar you’ll watch hem hand dip fie layers of toffee right before your eyes. It was so yummy we even went back a third time.

Cheeky's Palm Springs

Cheeky’s Palm Springs
622 N Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92262
Cheeky’s is one of the most popular restaurants in Palm Springs and is open for breakfast or brunch. Everything on the menu is made from scratch and it is a great farm to table style restaurant. Cheeky’s does not accept reservations and parties are accepted on a first come first serve basis. If there is a little bit of a wait, there are plenty of shops to browse in until its your turn to dine. The patio is pet friendly.
View the menu and more info on their website HERE.

Bacon flight cheeky's palm springs

You HAVE to order a bacon flight. We have had bacon flights before and we loved this one too. You’ll get to sample 6 different flavors of bacon. The apple cinnamon was my favorite.

Cheeky's palm springs

Travis ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich (no surprise there) and it was delectable! I was not that hungry so I ordered two pastries. The pastries change seasonally.

Jakes Palm Springs
Jake's Palm Springs

Jake’s Palm Springs
664 N. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262
Jake’s is a really cute spot nestled behind Palm Canyon drive (we walked right past it at first). There is very limited indoor and patio seating so make sure to make a reservation if you’d like to eat there. The patio at Jake’s is pet friendly.

Jake's Palm Springs

I rarely get the chance to order a shrimp po’boy (one of my favorites since growing up in Florida) so when I saw it on the menu I had to order. It did not disappoint! The shrimp were huge and the bread was crisped to perfection.

Jake's Palm Springs

Aurora ordered the chicken tenders and Travis ordered the blackened shrimp tacos. Both were great! They even brought Muffin a bowl of water and a treat.

Lapperts Palm Springs
130 N Palm Canyon Dr. Palm Springs, CA, 92262
Last but certainly not least is a MUST TRY in Palm Springs. Literally everyone, everywhere told us that we had to try a date shake. Dates are a type of fruit that are locally grown and lots of places have them. We opted to try one at Lappert’s because we had been to one in Hawaii.
View more info on their website HERE.

Lappert's Palm Springs

For a local Hawaiian company they sure hit the date shake out of the park! It really is delicious and we had several during our time in Palm Springs. Lappert’s has some amazing flavors of ice cream too. They’ll let you sample!

Lappert's Ice Cream Palm Springs

If you’ve never had a Dole whip, do me a favor and get one! These are a long time favorite of mine. You can get just the Dole whip ice cream or a float like I had below. Not pictured was the key lime pie ice cream, it was amazing!
